Westie, a young puppy, was hit by a ten-wheeled truck at a busy factory. X-rays revealed his right upper femur was shattered into four pieces, and his intestines were ripped, leading to a high risk of septicemia. He also tested positive for two types of blood parasites and was severely anaemic.

Westie underwent two critical surgeries: one to insert a steel pin in his femur (21 stitches!) and another to reposition his intestines. Vets later discovered damage to his urinary tract and bladder. Despite these challenges, Westie has shown incredible bravery, enduring it all without a whimper.

After weeks of intensive care, he's now back at our healing centre, continuing treatment for blood parasites and bone medication. He walks for a few seconds every day and exercises in his standing frame. Westie has incredible determination, but his badly broken back leg will take a long time to heal well.
